Victoria M Falmouth , ME February 01, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Washer WCVH6800J1WW Our ge front loader washing machine was leaking water from the left side of the washing machine We diagnosed our washing machine by taking off the bottom front panel of the washing machine and discovered that water & detergent was pouring out of the upper left detergent dispenser area. On closer inspection we could see that the water inlet pipe was cracked which was allowing water & detergent to leak into the interior of the washing machine and onto the floor. Your rep helped me find the correct part as all I knew was how it looked ( I explained that it looked like a white plastic "peace pipe"! LOL!) I gave her our washing machine model number and together we decided that the "water inlet pipe" was the correct replacement part. I ordered the part and it came within two days! We replaced the cracked water inlet pipe and instantly -- there was no more water leak! The new water inlet pipe attached at the detergent dispenser with a black O ring and fits into the boot of the tub. Very simple repair. Most of the time spent on the repair was taking the washing machine apart and putting it back together. Our washing machine is now as good as new! The estimate to have a repairman fix our machine was $250 -- we fixed our washing machine ourselves for the cost of the replacement part plus shipping -- about $19! A big thank you to your rep who helped me find the right replacement part! You all get 5 stars for terrific customer service, great replacement parts and super fast shipping! :) Read More... 13 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Justin L Setauket , NY January 03, 2017 Leaking door seal & excess water in detergent dispenser I replaced the door seal for the leak. We had a small tear in the sealing surface that resulted in water dripping down the front of the machine (just below the door). I also replaced the detergent dispenser main box with diverter unit. This corrected excessive water being left inside the detergent dispenser at the end of each cycle. I highly recommend replacing the dispenser seal and gasket nozzle to be on the safe side. As these parts are subject to wear and fatigue over the life of the machine. They are cheap enough to bear no significant reason not to. These small pieces are often over looked when performing repairs. But when you need them, you'll be glad that you ordered them.
