This bearing supports the spin basket (inner tub) in top-load washers, allowing it to rotate smoothly during the spin cycle. It is mounted at the base of the spin basket and bears the load of the drum and its contents. Replace this bearing if the washer makes loud grinding or squealing noises during the spin cycle, if the basket wobbles excessively, or if you notice water leaking from beneath the tub.
