Description

This air filter is a part of the air cleaning system on select lawn and garden engines. Combustion engines take in air and that is mixed with the fuel in the carburetor and then sent to the engine. The air filter is designed to catch particles and debris that come into the engine so that the air getting through is clean and pure. The filters naturally become clogged with regular use so replacing them is a part of routine maintenance that should be done every six to 12 months, depending on frequency of use. In some cases, the filter may become clogged in between maintenance, which would require an additional replacement. It may be helpful to keep an extra filter on hand.
