Description

This engine zone control cable is an authentic OEM replacement part for a push lawn mower. This cable connects the engine to the control bar and is essential for the engine to run. A control bar acts as a safety mechanism that keeps the engine from running unless it is depressed. Therefore, without this cable, the engine and control bar will be out of communication and the engine will not start or run. Like with any cable, an engine zone control cable can snap if put under too much pressure. Often, temperature changes can cause the cable to tense, and when a user pulls the cable, it can snap. The most obvious sign of a broken engine zone control cable is that the control bar has a lot more give and the engine will not start. Replacing the cable is an easy job. Simply remove the broken cable from the control bar and release it from the stop lever using a pair of pliers.
