Description

This replacement carburetor kit is a genuine OEM parts kit for Craftsman hedge trimmers. The carburetor takes gasoline from the fuel line and mixes it with air from the intake valve to make a balanced fuel that is ready for combustion. Depending on how much fuel or air pass into the carburetor, the engine may run faster or slower. The most common reason for a carburetor to break down is if it is clogged with engine gunk. While it is sometimes possible to clean out a carburetor, if left for too long, the damage can be irreparable and the part will need replacing. First, remove the air filter and filter housing using a socket wrench. This will give access to the damaged carburetor and make it easier to unhook from the links that hold it in place. Be sure to set the gaskets firmly in place and then reassemble with the new part. This replacement carburetor is designed for use only with Craftsman appliances.
