Description

This is a genuine engine cylinder that is designed for use in select outdoor power equipment. The cylinder is the part of the engine that houses the spark plug and piston, creating the combustion chamber that the engine needs to ignite the air-fuel mixture that runs the engine. The cylinder is exposed to high heat, excessive pressure, and chemicals that can all cause wear and breakage over time. In the event that the cylinder goes bad, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent further engine damage. This OEM cylinder is manufactured by Husqvarna. It can be used in trimmers, blowers, edgers, and pruners from the brand, as well as from Poulan and Weed Eater. The cylinder is sold as an individual unit and does not include hardware or other parts or accessories. Replacing the cylinder takes a little more effort because it requires disassembling the engine. To replace the cylinder, remove the engine shrouds, and then remove the engine from its mount. From here, the cylinder can be removed from the block and the piston can be taken out. Then, the new cylinder can have the piston installed before being bolted into place. The accessories can be replaced and then the engine can be re-mounted.
