This throttle cable is a genuine Husqvarna part. It is manufactured as a replacement part for riding mowers, zero-turn mowers, and tractors. The throttle cable connects to the carburetor. Its purpose is to stop the engine when the user shifts the lever to the choke position. It is normal for the throttle cable to wear over time and need to be replaced, especially with heavy use. If the throttle cable is worn, the mower will operate at too high a speed.This is a relatively simple repair to make. Besides safety equipment, only a pair of pliers are required.
