Part Number: WP697772
The Blower Wheel is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This component is essential in the dryer's air system, as it is responsible for moving air through the drum and out the vent. The blower wheel works by pulling air over the heating element, circulating it through the clothes, and expelling the moist air outside, which assists in the efficient drying of laundry.
Symptoms of a failing Blower Wheel include:
- Reduced airflow, resulting in clothes not drying properly or increased drying times
- Unusual noises like rattling or thumping, suggesting the wheel may be loose or damaged
- Excessive vibration of the dryer, especially if the blower wheel is unbalanced
- The dryer overheating due to restricted airflow if the wheel is clogged or malfunctioning
Causes of a bad blower wheel typically involve objects getting caught in the wheel, lint build-up that unbalances the wheel, or wear and tear that leads to the wheel's fins breaking or deforming.
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

I found the broken teeth inside. With the tube out of the way I was able to slide a crescent wrench in back and place...

This blower housing assembly replaces the blower chamber that supports the blower wheel and routes air through the dryer for proper tumbling and drying. Restores correct airflow and helps reduce overheating or poor drying performance. What it does:
- Houses and supports the blower wheel to direct airflow from the drum to the exhaust.
- Ensures proper airflow for consistent drying and venting.
- Can address symptoms like weak airflow, long dry times, or unusual blower noise when damaged or cracked.
- Works with the blower wheel and motor to maintain lint passage and exhaust flow.
What's included: One blower housing assembly as shown. Install notes:
- Disconnect power before inspecting or replacing the blower housing; follow manufacturer safety procedures.
- Access may require removing the dryer front or rear panel depending on model.
- Inspect the blower wheel and motor for damage or obstructions while replacing the housing.
