The Motor Spring is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool top-loading washing machines. This spring applies proper tension to the agitator assembly during wash cycles.

Causes of a bad motor spring can include damage from unintended impacts or fatigue after extended use. Over time, constant movement may cause the spring to weaken.

Symptoms of a bad motor spring include:

  • Inadequate cleaning as clothes don't tumble vigorously  
  • Excessive noise or vibration from the off-balance agitator 
  • Stalling or failure of the agitator to rotate fully

This OEM Whirlpool replacement is also compatible with some Kenmore, Admiral, Estate, and Roper top-load washer models as well.
