After looking up the model number of my washing machine on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the suspension rod kit, two sets of tub centering springs (one spring per corner), a Ring-Tub (mine was breaking apart due to banging around) and a spare suspension bearing kit in case I need it later. When I removed the cabinet, all of the springs appeared in tact, I had already replaced the counter balance spring so I knew that was not the issue. None of the suspension springs or brackets were broken but they did look worn/rusty so I replaced all of the brackets (2 in front and 1 large in back), all of the suspension spring retainers, and all of the suspension springs and it fixed the issue! I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. I called a repair guy who came out to specifically replace the suspension rods because I read that if you push down on the tub and it bounces around, then the rods have worn out. After running the diagnostics, the repair guy tried to tell me it was because the lid was not locking correctly! First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads. Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. The springs appeared OK but I couldn't tell of they were fatigued or not and all were in place but the tub suspension pads were definitely worn out. I then put the machine back together and went... Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. I ordered the parts, after assuring my diagnosis was correct from APP’s knowledgeable representative, and they were shipped quickly. I tipped the washer and disassembled the parts to be replaced and then installed a new clutch, clutch spring and mode shifter. Read more

This was the second attempt at fixing this problem. The first repair and parts were generated by listing the problem and reviewing the potential corrections, listed on the web site. From making repairs on other clothes washers, I was confident that some of those potential causes could have been the cause. We looked online at AppliancePartsPros.com under the symptoms and found it was most likely caused by the shocks. Of course there was a repair video showing how to replace all four shocks step by step, and there was a link for purchasing the four shocks at the bottom of the video. Our repair didn't go quite as quickly as on the video because we are novices, but we were able to do the repair ourselves and, once again, saved ourselves a ton of money! I read through the issues related to my problems. I purchased both parts so if one was fixed then the other still needed to be fixed I would have the part. I watched both videos for replacing the parts which made things so much easier. I will say prying in the front clips was the biggest issue out of the whole repair. I repaired the suspension issue by replacing the 4 rods. The very last rod that I replaced was indeed bent. I closed the top and ran one load and then the lid lock issues... Read more

I removed the top cover and found the left main suspension spring broken. Appliance Part Pros had the new springs (2 I replaced both) at my door in 26 hours. Excellent service from this company. After disassembling the drum from the chassis of the machine, it was very easy to replace the springs. i do wish however that I had purchased a higher quality machine. LG refused to do anything to help and the machine is only 3 years old and gets minimal use. Hats off however to Appliance Parts Pros.... Read more

Rebalanced the load but noticed the drum was sitting lower and the springs were wore out and it went out of balance easy, so i got the suspension rod kit and installed it and it works much better. It took me 2 hours because i didnt have adequate room to move around. Hour job if you have room. Read more
