The EVAPORATOR INSULATOR is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is a heat-resistant insulating pad or wrap that surrounds the evaporator coils. The insulator works to retain cool air and prevent warmer air from entering the refrigerated compartment.  

Causes of a bad insulator can include deterioration or breakdown of insulating properties over time due to aging materials. Cracks, holes, or compressed sections of the insulator result in reduced insulation performance.

Symptoms of a bad evaporator insulator include:

• Inconsistently cool or warmer fridge temperatures 
• Frost or ice buildup on evaporator coils or surrounding areas
• Higher than normal electric bills from inefficient cooling
• Warm or cold spots inside refrigerator shelves and compartments

This OEM Frigidaire replacement insulator is compatible with some Kitchenaid, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator models.

This drain tube insulation cushions and thermally protects the refrigerator's defrost drain tube to help prevent condensation and ice buildup. It keeps the drain line insulated so water flows freely to the drip pan and reduces drip/ice-related issues. What it does:

• Wraps around the defrost drain tube to limit heat transfer and condensation.
• Helps prevent drain freeze-ups that can cause water pooling or slow drainage.
• Reduces the chance of water dripping inside the cabinet or onto the floor.
• Supports reliable defrost water routing to the drain pan.

• Always unplug the appliance or disconnect power before servicing.
• Access may require removing the back or inside panel; keep track of fasteners.
• Slide the insulation over the drain tube so it fully covers the exposed section; ensure it sits flat without kinks.
• If corrosion or heavy buildup is present, clean the drain tube before installing new insulation.
