Kenmore / Sears Range / Cooktop / Oven Heating Element

This is a radiant heating element that sits beneath the glass surface of an electric cooktop or range. It generates heat for cooking when a burner is turned on. Replace this element if a burner no longer heats, heats unevenly, or fails to reach the correct temperature despite the control functioning properly.

This bake element is the oven's main heating element that provides consistent heat for baking and roasting. Replacing a failed element restores proper oven temperature and cooking performance. What it does:

• Heats the lower oven cavity for baking and roasting cycles.
• Common symptom: oven does not heat or reaches lower-than-set temperatures.
• Common symptom: uneven baking or food undercooks on all racks.
• Also check for visible damage, burn marks, or broken connectors.

• Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before starting any repair.
• Allow the oven to cool fully before accessing the interior; wear gloves to protect against sharp edges.
• Remove the oven cavity access panel or back panel as required to access element mounting screws and wiring.
• Verify wiring connections are secure and test the element for continuity with a multimeter before final reassembly.

Range not keeping food warm? This top warming element restores consistent low-heat warming. Common fix for cooktops with non-heating warming zones.

This is an electric warming element used in a range or oven. It provides low, consistent heat to keep food warm after cooking without continuing to cook it further. Replace this element if your warming feature no longer heats, heats unevenly, or shows visible damage such as cracks or burn spots.
