This was much easier than expected. I called Appliance Parts Pros with my model # and you told me what part I needed. It was shipped the same day and arrived the next day. I removed the inner door trim with a table knife ( don't rush this or you might crack the trim ). I then unhooked the old door latch disconnected the spring from the door hooked on the spring from the new latch and clipped in the latch to the door. Final step was to reattach the door trim. My dryer door would not stay shut because the door strike was stuck in the door catch. I was afraid that when I pulled the strike out, it would damage the catch, so I ordered the door strike and door catch. I got the damaged door strike out with needle nosed pliers in about 15 seconds. The door catch was in perfect condition so I didn't need to use the one I ordered. So then I proceeded to install the new door strike. Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. Everything works great, but my Jenn-Air stove is more than 15 years old and really needed a face lift. To replace it will cost about $3000.00 to replace, to replace missing and old parts around $500.00. Worked with phone person at AppliancePartsPros and determined problem could be either the latch motor or the circuit board. Ordered parts for both the latch motor and the control circuit board. Since a relay on the board was clicking and the motor would not budge, I installed them both and oven is working again!! Presumably because of the number of warehouses, I ordered the parts on Sunday and they arrived Tuesday morning. Great help! Great speed! Perfect matches on the parts!! Read more

After getting error code and doing a bit of research, I decided to order the part and replace myself. Part took about three days to get. With the help of a instructional video online, I took my Kenmore Elite gas stove top apart. Other than removing stubborn screws, the latch motor was an easy fix. Read more

I utilized your videos. The pump video implied if the leak was ignored? You would have to cut the pump off, which was what I did. The impeller also had to be cut down to the plastic collar on the motor shaft, which I used a handheld chop grinder to get through the plastic collar without damaging the shaft, because of the neglect on the leak the motor shaft had to be filed and sandpapered to accept the new pump. WITH A VOLT/METER CHECK OUT FRONT DOOR SWITCH (GOOD), CHECK OUT MICRO SWIITCHES ON REAR REAR LATCH ASSEMBLY (GOOD). CHECK VOLTAGE ON SOLENOID AFTER SELF CLEANING WAS TURNED ON WAS READING 120 VOLTS BUT SOLENOID/MOTER WOULD NOT ENGAGE. REPLACE IT WITH REAR LATCH ASSEMBLY. PROBLEM FIX Read more
