Latch would not open consistently on detergent dispenser James G. • Waxhaw , NC • January 12, 2015
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle.

This wet agent dispenser replaces the washer's liquid fabric softener dispenser to restore proper dispensing during the rinse cycle. It helps keep softener contained until the machine is ready to release it, improving rinse-time performance. What it does:
- Holds and releases liquid fabric softener (wet agent) into the rinse cycle
- Ensures softener is delivered at the correct time for even distribution
- Stops leaking or premature release when the dispenser housing is intact
- Commonly replaced when the dispenser cracks, clogs, or fails to dispense
What's included: One wet agent (fabric softener) dispenser cup/housing Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repairs
- Access method varies by model; remove dispenser drawer or top panel per your model's service instructions
- Inspect surrounding seals and clips; replace if damaged to prevent leaks
