This rotary on/off switch controls the dryer's Finish Guard (also called Wrinkle Guard/Wrinkle Shield) feature. Replacing it restores proper control of the post-cycle intermittent tumbling that helps reduce wrinkles, preventing the feature from being stuck on or off.
- Provides 2-position on/off selection for the Finish Guard/Wrinkle Guard function
- Failure can cause the feature not to engage or to stay on after the cycle ends
- Knob may feel loose or fail to click when the switch is worn
- Mounts in the control console and interfaces with the external selector knob
What's included: 1 rotary switch Installation notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing
- Access through the control console; remove paneling as needed
- Transfer wires one at a time or photograph connections for reference
- Reinstall using the existing knob and mounting hardware
