Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water would leak into the tub after a wash load was finished also the hot water valve would make a loud buzzing noise before it turned on the water   Robert B. • Robins , IA • January 23, 2015

I watched the how-to video on your website to learn how to get at the valve to replace it. Before watching the video, I did not know how to take the washer cabinet apart to replace the valve. I searched on your website for my washer model, but the exact model number was not listed. I chose a very similar model number and looked up the info for that machine's replacement valve . It looked like it would work in my washing machine so I decided to take a chance and order the valve. I placed my... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F20 error code on whirlpool duet wfw9200sq00   Jason P. • Hercules , CA • May 13, 2017

I replaced the supply lines and mesh in-line filters. I made sure incoming water pressure was strong. I also cleared some debris from the internal drain filter down below. The F20 persisted. My plan was to start swapping out parts from the inlet on. I ordered the valve and got it in a day. Thanks to the schematics and videos on appliancepartspros.com, I was comfortable with the repair, and had confidence in my plan. The actual valve replacement took about 10 minutes. Bingo bango... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Hot water slowly dripped into washer tub (1 gallon in a couple of days)   Robert M. • Northridge , CA • July 28, 2014

I unplugged the machine. I removed the two fill hoses. I removed the top of the washer case by removing 3 tamper proof screws from the back ( I used my set of "star" head drivers), sliding the top back 1 inch and lifting the top off. I marked the 4 wires with 1 thru 4 stripes with a marker for ID, then pulled the 4 wires off the landing terminals. I removed the mounting screw and lifted the valve up as far as the hose permitted to get a better grip on the valve and hose. I removed the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Unnoticed leak until i removed the top of my front end washer   George V. • Homestead , FL • January 03, 2015

This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. After running the washer with the lid open (I don't recommend doing that) I noticed that it was coming from the top of the soap... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Wife noticed water on the laundry room floor!   Richard L. • Phelps , NY • April 06, 2015

Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. Total of all parts was under $45 so looks like we won't be getting a newer, more efficient washer anytime soon. Everything arrived in 3 days and... Read more
