The Timer is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washers. This electronic part is essential for accurately tracking washing cycles and automatically shutting off the washer at the end of the selected time period.
Symptoms of a bad timer include:
- Cycles failing to complete fully and the washer not turning off automatically
- Inaccurate timekeeping causing under or over-washing of clothes
- The dial not rotating smoothly between settings or options
Causes of a bad timer can include normal wear over years of use. The internal timekeeping components can degrade or fail due to repeated power cycling of the washer.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore washer models.
