The throttle cable connects to the carburetor and is used to stop the engine from running when the lever is shifted from throttle to choke. Over time, this cable is extended and retracted frequently and can become worn with use. It consists of the metal throttle cable and the plastic housing, and those can get broken or damaged as well, which will require the need for a full replacement.
