It is a Kenmore Elite built by LG. Sears did not have the part available so I searched LG on the web and found Appliance Pros. Went to the Appliance Parts Pros.com site, found the necessary part, quickly, even told me it was comparable, shipped and received in two (2) days. Price - $ 83.00! Wow! Richard Z Red Bluff , CA January 22, 2023 Ice bucket was freezing up. Replacing the old Ice Bucket helped since the old one was broken due to ice build-up. The cap assembly was a challenge. 15-year-old fridge wasn't very forgiving trying to get to the problem part. So my son was able to skip the instructions to open everything up to get to the cap assembly. He created a tool from a paint can opener. The opener was able to pry off the cap from its plastic arm and easily snap in the new cap. It was a clever way to get at the problem without destroying the facing panel with all the electronic push buttons. The ice maker is now functioning as it should. Read More...
