Benjamin M Fayetteville , TX March 26, 2021 Appliance: Model WT7200CW Washer was leaving soap on clothes. Plastic gear in agitator was worn. Note that this plastic part is typically hidden by a metal insert that converts the diameter of the shaft gear to the diameter of the agitator (pulsator). If you can spin the agitator freely, check here first before concerning yourself with the actual motor/gearing under the unit. All you need for this repair is a flat blade screw driver to pop the cap off, and a 10mm socket to pull the agitator (pulsator). My cap broke so I replaced it, but you might have better luck getting yours off and only need the agitator/pulsator. Jeff W Stillwater , OK January 23, 2021 I first noticed that clothes were not getting clean. While watching a load in the washer, I saw that the nothing was moving even though it made the normal sounds when washing. I found that the Pulsator/Agitator plate on the bottom of the washer would spin freely with no resistance. I remove the plate and found that my splines were worn. But not worn out. The insert that the splines were made into. Would spin in the plastic that was holding it. It would act just like stripped splines that apparently, is common with these units. I found and ordered the plate from AppliancePartsPros since they showed the fastest delivery time. It was here in 2 days. Took about 5 minutes to put everything back together. Now it works as it should. Thanks to APP for all their help. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Socket Set
