Lg 5075JA1044E Ice Bucket Assembly OEM Part

I googled the mfg part number on the internet and started searching for similiar issues on the internet. I replaced the water inlet valve after a live chat agent assisted that helped me through it. It was very conveniant and parts may have taken three days to come in. I the parts and everything seems to be working fine.

8 year old LG French Door .Searched on line for a solution to broken ice maker. Found the whole Bucket need replacing, not just a little part. After reading about other people with the same issue, I ordered the bucket assembly making sure it is was the correct replacement part. It arrived quickly. Pulled out the broken bucket, dumped the ice in the new one, popped the bucket in place and ICE, lots of nice crushed ICE. Seems better than the original one for crushed ice. Nice that is was a simple do-it-yourself. Ordered a new bin/caddie assy. from appliancepartspros.com. Sears was $25 more expensive and said it took (on average) 36 minutes to replace the bin...took me 9 seconds...a no-brainer.

Replaced the ice bucket.

It's a very, very easy fix, bucket, auger, etc. are all one unit. Turn off icemaker, remove old unit. Install new one. About 2 minutes. Replacement part arrived in 3 days, very pleased with service and quality of part.
