Steve C Caledonia , WI September 23, 2015 Appliance: LG Microwave Oven LMV1630ST Glass fell out of its retainers and plastic clips holding the frame assembly to the door broke off Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Easier than sending them back since I had the whole thing apart anyways. The part I really needed was no longer available, the outside door. The glass reinstalled into the retainers in the door without a problem. At least everything is very clean now !! Audrey S Rochester , NY February 05, 2018 Lg microwave door would not latch closed Ordered door latch part and new spring. You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. It wasn't an expensive or hard fix to get my microwave up and running again. So pleased with AppliancePartsPros for having what I needed and being reasonable about pricing. Turnaround time was excellent! Amanda A Richland , WA May 01, 2017 Appliance: Kenmore Microwave 72180592402 Broken door latch bottom bit of latch broke off Purchased the replacement latch (came really fast!), pried back the inside door cover with thin butter knife as shown on the video (with fear and trembling that I might crack it, but started on the handle side and it came off as advertised with no cracking). Then I got a good look at where the old latch sat, and where the spring attached to the latch and the door, and was ready to replace it. Wiggled old one up and out of its slot, attached new one to spring, re-attached spring to door, and put new one in its place. Pressed the inside door cover back into place, and I was done! Much easier than I expected. Much much cheaper than a new microwave! One note on inside door cover - I think it helped to start on handle side instead of on the top. And I was surprised by how deep the inside door cover went. From the videos it looked practically flat, but it had a good 1/4 - 1/2 inch lip that I had to get the butter knife behind (as the door edge was fleeeeexing, and I was worrying). But once I got the first bit popped out, it went pretty smoothly - I didn't need all the popsicle stick shims I had laid out, and the few I tried to use just fell out because the cover wasn't trying to spring back into place.
