The Damper Bracket is an OEM component for LG microwaves. Located inside the microwave cavity above the wave stirrer, this bracket holds the position of the damper assembly that helps distribute heat evenly during cooking. The bracket measures approximately 12” by 5”.

Symptoms of a bad damper bracket can include:  

• Hot or cold spots developing within the microwave cavity
• Looseness in the damper assembly fit
• Reduced heat circulation leading to uneven cooking

Causes typically consist of cracking over long-term heat exposure. Repeated opening/closing of the damper may also weaken attachment points on the bracket.

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore microwaves. 

This holder assembly secures and guides the door latch components so the door closes firmly and the safety interlock switches engage. Replacing a worn holder restores reliable latching and helps the unit start consistently.
