Lg 6549W1S011B Microwave Turntable Motor OEM Part

I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle. I only did this on three sides. Then pry up the rectangle away from the connected side. Undid the hold down screw, separated the motor from the housing, unplugged the wire connector after noting the plugs orientation. Inserted new motor, after plugging in the connector, insert screw, and bent the metal cove back down. The only tool needed was a small phillips head screwdriver, and a small flat blade screwdriver(for prying).

I ordered a new motor and rotating ring assembly since the originals had "melted", it was an easy remove the motor, and replace... Literally "plug and play" one of the easiest repairs to make..and thanks to Appliance Parts Pros, I got the parts fast and was able to have the microwave back in action in no time.

Determined what the issue was. The shaft on the motor that goes into the rotating ring had become fused together and broke. Ordered a new motor and ring assembly. Replaced both and problem solved. Parts were easy to find and order on your website and arrived in a couple of days. Thank you!

Turned unit on side, popped off pre-stamped out door (they must have visioned the motor may be needing a replacement), removed one screw and pulled off connector, installed part, turn door 180 degrees to engage tabs and secure with screw supplied by me.

Purchased and installed new tub bearing and seals. Decided to replace the tub bolts as well, since I had it apart. Now if I could just find a new outer tub (which the manufacturer has discontinued). Appliance parts pros has a great "how to" video which made it simple!
