Paul S Jacksonville , FL October 23, 2015 Appliance: Model LG MODEL MODEL NUMBER DLE 4870W Not heating up error code r95 Everything was pretty much straight forward with replacing the PCB board part number LRC 62707723 on my LG Dyer, initially the problem was that the dryer was not heating up at all. So I called the LG hotline which is a waste of time and a joke. So I called a repair man recommended by LG and he came out to the house at a charge of $85.00 and said it would cost $500.00 to fix but the part would take three weeks to get. On the day he arrived I was not home so that's what he told my wife. So I just decided to put my 25 years of Naval knowledge and philosophy of "if it breaks fix it" to use. So I begin watch a couple video's on youtube on how these dryers come apart. After watching a few on YOUTUBE on dryers that were not like mine I figured it out. I called the Appliance Parts Pros to order the PCB board, the customer service from beginning to end was outstanding! The customer service rep. was very helpful because she could understand me and my I don't know anything about dryer parts and nomenclature language babble. And also received an email from Appliance Parts Pros letting me know that my part was on the way as well as a FEDEX tracking order number which was also very cool. Anyway I received the my part in three days and I had the dryer put back together and running with heat in 45 minutes only because I had put the drum belt on wrong way and had to take the front of the dryer apart to put that on right and there is a good YouTube video on that as well. I have nothing but great things to say about Appliance Parts Pros you guys rock! And most importantly my wife is not asking me when are you going to fix the dryer? Robert H Herndon , VA December 03, 2015 Appliance: Model LG DLE4870W Dryer would not stop running My LG DLE4870W dryer would not stop running. The only way to stop the dryer from turning was to i'ther open the door or unplug it. As soon as I would plug it in, it would start running again. Called LG customer service and that was just a waste of time. Called a service repair man and they wanted $90 to come look at it. The guy I spoke too even stated that it would probably be better to purchase a new dryer than to have them repair it. He also stated that the problem was probably the PCB board and it cost $195 and it would cost $179 to install it. So $90 + $195 + $179 = $464 (plus taxes). After doing some research on the internet, I determined that he was probably correct and the most likely cause was a stuck breaker in the control panel. I found the part on AppliancePartsPros for approx $160. Considering my dryer was not even 2 years old, I was a bit nervous about taking it apart, but it was actually very easy. I only needed a phillips and a flat screw driver. I also would like to note that the customer service of AppliancePartsPros was very helpful, not only in helping me order the right part, but they were also able to tell me where the part was located within the dryer. There seems to be a bunch of different problems related to this board going bad including Dryer not starting and dryer not heating. Don't be afraid to tackle this yourself, thanks to AppliancePartsPros and youtube, repairs are easy. I also made a repair video and added it to my youtube channel. Good luck! Dale B Papillion , NE December 27, 2021 Appliance: LG Dryer DLE4870W LG dryer dle4870w continued to run after shutting off Replaced the PCB assembly. As Google and YouTube shows, a common cause for this issue is a bad PCB board. This was the case here. Many, many thanks to Robert H of Herndon, VA (YouTube RLH1510) for his how-to video. Showed exactly the steps needed to replace the board. One thing to make it easier, is you only need to remove the top 3 screws in back in order to rotate the control panel. Removing all 6 screws didn't hurt. Easy, easy repair. I spent more time hooking up the dryer vent than replacing the board. I owe you a beer Robert!
