This is a lever supporter that sits behind the control knob on a range, providing structural support for the knob shaft and ensuring the knob engages properly with the selector switch or valve stem. It helps maintain correct knob alignment and rotational feel. Replace this part if the control knob feels loose, spins freely without engaging, or if the original support is cracked or broken.
Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again. Job was a simple fix and only required a Phillips head screwdriver. I did not need to remove any connections as there was enough room and wire to pull out the oven control assembly and make the repair.
