Lg 5889W1A003B Rotating Ring Assembly OEM Part

I ordered a new motor and rotating ring assembly since the originals had "melted", it was an easy remove the motor, and replace... Literally "plug and play" one of the easiest repairs to make..and thanks to Appliance Parts Pros, I got the parts fast and was able to have the microwave back in action in no time.

Determined what the issue was. The shaft on the motor that goes into the rotating ring had become fused together and broke. Ordered a new motor and ring assembly. Replaced both and problem solved. Parts were easy to find and order on your website and arrived in a couple of days. Thank you!

Very easy repair, conveniently there is a hatch on the bottom of my microwave that provides access to the turntable motor. You have to cut this hatch out of the bottom with a pair of wire cutters. Then you just remove the plug on the motor, the two screws and it will come right out. To reinstall the hatch you just rotate it 180 degrees and insert the two tabs into the slots on the bottom cover. You will need one small sheet metal screw to hold it down. It would have been nice if the replacement motor came with a spare screw for this purpose but oh well.

Turned unit on side, popped off pre-stamped out door (they must have visioned the motor may be needing a replacement), removed one screw and pulled off connector, installed part, turn door 180 degrees to engage tabs and secure with screw supplied by me.

Opened the bottom of the microwave, removed motor and ring assembly, and replaced them.
