Description

This drum spider supports and centers the inner tub in front-load washers. It bolts to the drum and couples to the drive shaft to keep spins smooth and balanced, reducing noise and vibration as the original wears.

• Supports and centers the inner spin basket within the outer tub
• Transfers drive power through the shaft to spin the drum
• Maintains drum alignment to help prevent rubbing and noise
• When worn: loud banging/rumbling on spin, excessive vibration, metallic scraping, unbalance/spin errors, wetter-than-normal loads

• Disconnect power and water; move the washer to a stable work area
• Access requires removing panels, the door boot, and separating the tub to lift out the inner basket
• Clean mating surfaces; install and tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even seating
• Inspect rear tub bearings and seal while open; reassemble and run a test spin to check for leaks and vibration
