Gary S Madison , WI April 13, 2015 Refridgerator stopped cooling Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. Replacing the parts took about a half hour most of which was moving the unit from the wall and removing the panel to get at the parts. Robert S Morgan Hill , CA June 26, 2015 Appliance: Model VINOTEMP VT-32 TS WINE COOLER Compressor would not start made a click sound from the overload relay Removed the PTC start relay from compressor, Removed the PTC from compressor and then removed the bottom cover from PTC and found the ceramic disk had oxidized and some of the metal coating had burned off. Clean the contacts and disk with a wire brush and installed the ceramic disk back in so the metalized part of the ceramic disk made contact with the connector prongs. Installed back onto compressor and it started right up. This was a temporary fix until I received the new part. Repair was easy. Leroy B Colorado Springs , CO January 19, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LMX25981ST Two issues water in the bottom of fridge and clicking noise The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. I removed the overload relay and capacitor from the TSD used two pieces of wire and connectors to create the circuit using the PTC. As soon as I plugged it in the compressor started working and cooling the fridge. problem solved. Thanks APP for the parts I should be good to go another 7 years. Paul B Frederick , MD January 15, 2017 Appliance: Model LFX25791 Not cooling 8 y/o LG unit was not cooling or freezing. There was a clicking on the back side every 2-3 minutes. Used these 2 issues in a internet search and top 2 cited problems were dirty coils then bad PTC & OLP. Tool off the back panel, compressor was quie hot. Coils did not look excessively dirty but cleaned them anyway. DId not resolve the problem. The OLP & PTC recommended for my unit. were different than the original TSD and I thought I would have to return the parts. However, I got on a chat with Nathan and he walked me through the wiring and gave me a lin to a video for installation instructions. I have to say I was skeptical since there were 3 connections on the new parts and only 2 on the old. Installed and connected wiring as Nathan had said and plugged the unti back in. Bingo! I also wanted to mention how fast shipping was. I order the parts standard delivery, late morning on a Wednesday, They were delivered by 10:30a the next day! Don C Pearland , TX July 23, 2016 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LRBC20512WW Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could see what I was doing. The only problem I encountered was that the capacitor terminals were farther apart than the original. I simply cut the plastic on the wiring harness into two parts so I could plug in the wires. I also used a can of compressed air to clean the dust off of everything. My refrigerator is back to it's normal self for $35 including shipping. Thank you AppliancePartsPros!
