This part holds the dishes during the washing and drying cycles. Note that this is only the lower dishrack assembly and the upper dishrack assembly is sold separately. Over time, the lower dishrack assembly may begin to rust or the coating may wear off. It is also possible that sections of the part could break due to degradation over time. If this happens, the entire lower dishrack assembly will need to be replaced. The lower dishrack assembly is compatible with dishwashers that are manufactured by the Kenmore, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool brands. It comes straight from the manufacturer and is sold individually.
