Took the side cover off, noticed the chain brake assembly was damaged from the heat. Also after removing the clip securing the clutch drum I couldn't remove it. Had to use my biggest flat head screwdriver to force the drum off. The inner bearing was shot and the outer rim was worn with a lip on the bottom, reason it wouldn't come off the clutch. I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. While I had it open, I also replaced the hub starter which was a cause of the pull starter slipping a bit. The flywheel is "pressed" on, but there are numerous videos on the internet on how to quickly and safely remove it using simple hand tools and likewise, how to adjust the clearance between the module and the flywheel.
