This is a glow bar oven igniter that is used on gas ovens. The purpose of the component is to open up the gas valve and ignite the gas. Once this happens, the glow bar oven igniter will heat up to an extreme temperature and start to glow.If the oven igniter is damaged, it may prevent the oven from heating up. Sometimes the igniter will continue to glow, but no flame will be present. If this occurs, the component will need to be replaced. A screwdriver will be needed for the process. Turn the power off from the oven, access the igniter, and remove it. Next, install the new igniter and secure it with screws. Replace the oven cover plate and racks before returning power to the appliance.The glow bar oven igniter is directly sourced from the manufacturer as an OEM replacement part. It is sold on an individual basis and used with Jenn Air stoves, ranges, and ovens.
