Bosch Range HEI8046U Parts

Based on the sound of arcing, one of the elements failed. The upper one tested fine; too bad, as that's the easy one to access. The lower element on my Bosch induction range is accessible from the back, but only after you pry and bend a vertical piece of sheet metal down to a 30-40 degree angle. I assume this saves Bosch a few cents on each unit during production. Before bending that panel down, I remove all vertical obstructions: 240V power cable, the wires to the warming drawer element... Some internet searching on the problem followed by a chat session with AppliancePartsPros and a decision to purchase both control panel board and probe (didn't want to remove the unit twice). The replacements arrived within 36 hours and my daughter (50 years) helped remove the oven plus replace both parts - the panel was above the oven chambers and easy to replace. Guessed it must be either a heat sensor or a lower element. Bosch wall oven with no easy access to the back of the stove. Had to remove the door (very Heavy) to more easily access the temperature sensor. I thought from a video that the sensor could be easily replaced without having to access the red of the stove - not true! The sensor wire was secured to other wires and a clip screwed into the sheet metal. I was able to remove all screws with a Torx head driver. Since I had to pull the unit out... Read more

The digital display/control touch screen stopped lighting up. I discovered it still worked (very faint beeps when pressing buttons, but literally flying in the dark (screen). This was the second screen that went black in a little over two years time. Did a google search and placed the replacement order with AppliancePartsPros.com. It arrived a few days later. Symptoms: would not light & no gas smell/flow. R&R'd gas solenoid which fixed it. Other parts were in addition to primary inop burner. Read more

It took about 30 minutes (including the time it took to clean up the junk that had accumulated over the months under the range floor). Easy to do. Just removed about 12-odd screws in order to remove the cosmetic plates/covers the covers, etc., to access the unit, took off one wire at a time from the old unit and connected it to the new unit, then put everything back. Required both Phillips head screwdriver and star bits (for 4 of the screws). Read more

Forced door open, replaced electric lock assembly and high limit temp switch . Large amount of disassembly required and patience. All working well need to check convection fan next. Read more
