The Infinite Heat Switch Kit is an OEM part for GE ranges and cooktops. This kit is essential for controlling the temperature of the burners on your range or cooktop, allowing you to adjust the heat level from low to high.
Causes of damage to the infinite heat switch can include normal wear and tear from frequent use, electrical issues such as short circuits or power surges, and physical damage from cleaning or impact.
Symptoms of a bad Infinite Heat Switch include:
- Burners not heating to the desired temperature, either staying too hot or not getting hot enough.
- The burner not turning on at all, indicating a possible failure in the switch's electrical contacts or circuit.
- Inconsistent cooking temperatures, where the burner cycles on and off too frequently or not often enough, affecting cooking performance.
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Had previously replaced one burner control because the burner indicator light stayed on William A. • Dodge Center , MN • July 13, 2015
I replaced all 3 remaining burner controls because they were all original (mid 1970s GE electric range w/coil burners), and one of the controls occasionally made arcing sounds when cycling the burner on and off. If a control is making odd noises - more than just a quiet metallic clicking
as it cycles - it should be replaced.
I'm assuming you have experience with the tools needed and can do simple mechanical assembly or disassembly, but have not previously worked with electrical equipment of...

Baking element broke broiler never worked since I moved in 13 years ago and the four burners on the stove top were slowly dying Marybeth K. • Milltown , NJ • November 13, 2017
With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. That took a bit longer as it sits in a metal...

Discolored burner rings and missing oven timer/clock knobs on 30 year old ge electric stove Edward S. • Marietta , OH • December 05, 2015
Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. Customer service rep was helpful and parts delivery was next day as promised. Before contacting Appliance Parts Pros, I found their on-line customer reviews were much better than their...

Dead 1970s GE stove heating elements Kevin N. • Oakland , CA • August 09, 2019
Ordering the right part is the key. This is the element with 3 wire connectors NOT the usual kind with 2 prongs that slide in. Thank goodness this company carries these elements for old GE built-in stoves. I'm not super handy but replaced two in about 40 min. Make sure you save the old ceramic clamps. The three prongs of the element with connected wires need to fit completely in the ceramic grooves so the two sides can be clamped together. The new element comes with everything you need but...

The front burner supports were disengaged from the element this is what prompted to replace the burner Thomas M. • Osterville , MA • July 14, 2015
Removed the defective burner labeled the leads as to their location and coil connections. Replaced the connections to the corresponding locations, 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and the bridged terminal as it was. I noticed that the coils in the replacement burner were not wound in the same direction as the original burner and made note of this. I did not think much of this at the time, but on turning the power back on and lighting up the burners I noticed up they were not lighting up the corresponding...
