If the oven burner would not light but the broiler would this indicated that the safety valve is OK. Problem had to be with the igniter. Removed the bottom panel in the oven and restarted the oven. The igniter would not glow at all. It should be brilliant red. This is where the problem came in. Ordered New Gasket and installed in about 3-4 Minutes. Only need small pliers to remove some of old clips from holes. New Gasket clipped in easily by hand. Read more

The repair was relatively simple and quick. The only part required was a new oven thermostat assembly and the tools I used for my model was a flathead screwdriver, cross-point screwdriver, torque bit and 1/4 inch socket using a bit driver. I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Called Appliance Parts - service agent was extremely helpful. Tried to find an assembled piece was unable to do so. Send me the individual parts which were very easy to assemble. Was able to replace entire light assembly, reconnect wire with new terminal end. Light works find just now. Would definitely call again if I needed assistance. Read more

Removed the front off the back panel, unplugged the old unit. Then using a blow dryer heated the old timer to peel the face /cover off and applied to the new clock. Plugged in the replacement clock. Replaced the front of the range. The only complaint I have is we were not informed that a new face would not be included and the old one would have to be removed and applied to the replacement clock.
