The Bake Element is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire ovens that provides the heat necessary for baking. Located at the bottom of the oven, the bake element heats up when electrical current flows through it, converting electricity into heat. This heat is then distributed throughout the oven cavity to cook or bake the food evenly. Measures approximately 19 ¼ inches x 17 ¾ inches
Causes of a bad bake element can include visible damage such as blistering, cracking, or splitting of the element itself. Over time, exposure to high temperatures can lead to material fatigue and eventual failure. Electrical issues, such as a short circuit or a power surge, can also damage the element, preventing it from heating properly.
Symptoms of a bad Bake Element include:
- Oven not heating to the set temperature
- Uneven cooking or baking results
- Visible damage to the element
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

TWO days later, the part arrived. I turned off the circuit breaker, unscrewed the two 1/4" screws and pulled off...

The Small Surface Element Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire electric ranges. It serves as the control knob and circuitry to safely power one of the smaller cooking elements.
Symptoms of a bad surface element switch include:
- Inability to ignite or regulate heating for its assigned zone
- Switch knob that feels loose, won't click smoothly, or won't stay set
- Intermittent or unreliable power to the smaller element coils
- Tripped circuit breakers upon use that don't reset
Causes relate to thousands of rotations wearing micro-switches and wiring terminals within the control assembly. Regular cleaning around knobs can prevent accelerated deterioration from baked-on debris conducting excess heat.
This genuine OEM replacement part is compatible with other brands including Electrolux and Kenmore as well.

The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015
Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old...

These factors can lead to the element no longer heating up properly or becoming completely non-functional.
Symptoms of a bad broil element include:
- The broiler not heating up or heating unevenly
- Visible signs of damage such as burns, blisters, or breaks in the element
- Sparking or unusual noises when attempting to use the broiler
- The oven taking longer to broil food or not achieving the desired browning effect
- The element not glowing red-hot during operation
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
