• Fridge too warm

Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. Replacing the parts took about a half hour most of which was moving the unit from the wall and removing the panel to get at the parts. Read more

Elderly neighbor charged $100 for factory tech to inform her that the part wasn't available anymore, so I ordered 2 from Appliance Parts Pros.com (one for a spare) and when they arrived a few days later, I installed then in about 20-25 minutes. I had to remove all the food off the door shelf so I could lift the door off the hinge to replace the bushing. That took 5 minutes. Was able to diagnose problem at AppliancePartsPros.com by entering the model #. This is apparently a common problem with this Refrigerator Replaced Light Socket Assembly, Lamp Reflector, Lamp Case and Lamp Cover. Also replaced the main circuit board (not sure if this was necessary). The wiring on the Light Socket Assembly was different than the original, so it was a bit confusing how to assemble it, and no screws were provided to attach it to the Lamp Reflector - figuring this out took most... Had a local company in to estimate repair of gas range oven door glass that had fallen out. At this time had him provide me with an estimate for replacing the freezer door gasket because on several occasions recently the freezer door has frozen closed.His estimate was $110.00 for the part and $140.00 for the labor. The purchased crisper cover lacks the printed pictures and text that was present on the front of the original, but it was no big deal. The difficult part of the repair was transferring the (1) plastic humidity adjusters for vegetable/fruit drawer, (2) plastic crisper drawer covers, and (3) metal bar on front underside of crisper cover. I was unable to find the snack drawer guide which was mounted under the middle of the large shelf for my LG refrigerator. In the parts description for my model the snack drawer was mounted under a small shelf. By ordering a right hand drawer guide with a right hand shelf bracket, I was able to move the left shelf bracket and guide from the large shelf to the small shelf.
