Roebuck (kenmore) ice maker failure ~ 4 5 yrs old Lawrence C. • Saratoga Springs , NY • June 14, 2015
Ice sensing lever (keyed onto mtr shaft) found down and would not budge. Also, test button (hidden beneath mtr) only 'beeped' when pushed. The 10 pin connector's 'clip' is also hidden against roof of freezer - mine broke but connection still seems secure. New unit was exact fit - test button (now) cycles thru one cycle of rotation and H2O fill with no beeps.... 18 hrs later, bin is half full....ice for the summer :)
Remove freezer door (front) so you can lay down and look up. Cold plastic...

Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later Don C. • Pearland , TX • July 23, 2016
After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could...

Broke gasket holder on both sides Ken C. • Greensboro , NC • November 04, 2014
I ordered the parts and they arrived in 2 days.
While the parts were in transit, I watched the video concerning replacing the gasket holder. WHAT
A LIFE-SAVER!
From start to finish took less than 60 minutes!!!
Note: I did take some water and ran it down the channel where the gasket goes to make it easier to slide onto the gasket.

LG refrigerator not cooling but freezer worked after viewing videos and talking to AppliancePartsPros, I ordered the parts Robert C. • Flowery Branch , GA • November 30, 2019
I removed the defrost sensor assembly, installed a new one, it worked. Because of a shipping problem with FEDEX, Appliancepartspros resent the parts not once but twice. Needless to say, they are my go-to source for parts from now on.

The Door Gasket Assembly is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It is a comprehensive kit that includes the gaskets that line the door frame. These gaskets create an air tight seal when the refrigerator door is closed, helping to maintain cool temperatures inside and conserve energy.
Causes can be from normal compression and expansion of the gasket over many open/close cycles. Damage like tears or cracks also compromise the seal.
Symptoms of a faulty gasket assembly include:
- Ineffective sealing allowing warm air into the refrigerator
- Higher than normal energy consumption
- Frozen items thawing more quickly
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

Gasket on freezer needed to be replaced Edward I. • Aventura , FL • December 01, 2014
I contacted Appliance Parts by Viewing your web site. I identified the Gasket # and then verified it with one of your people on the phone. I placed an order with my credit card. In 2 days the Gasket was delivered. It took 2 minutes to remove the old Gasket and about three to install the new Gasket. For about $35 I was able to take care of the problem in no time.
