The Water Line is an OEM part for LG refrigerators, designed to supply water to the ice maker and water dispenser. Made from durable materials to withstand water pressure and prevent leaks, this water line is essential for access to clean, filtered water at all times. Note: color of the water tube may be different from original. Tube is 5/16" diameter
Symptoms of a bad Water Line include:
- Leaking of water at the connection points or along the tubing.
- A noticeable decrease in water flow to the dispenser or ice maker.
- A bad taste or odor of the water and ice
Causes of failure can range from physical damage, such as kinks or punctures, to wear and tear over time leading to brittleness or weakening of the material. These issues can compromise the integrity of the water supply, affecting both the quality and safety of the water and ice provided by your refrigerator.
This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Split/leaking water line on my lg refrigerator Craig L. • Collinsville , TX • July 27, 2014
Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-)

Refridgerator stopped cooling Gary S. • Madison , WI • April 13, 2015
Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. Replacing the parts took about a half hour most of which was moving the unit from the wall and removing the panel to get at the parts.

Lg water filter head would not engage Henry W. • Hoffman Estates , IL • September 08, 2015
I have replaced the LG water filter myself for the past 10 years. This time I inserted the filter, did not feel the thread was engaged, I turned the filter clockwise and no water came through the filter. So I figured that the filter head might be bad.
I checked with YouTube and learned that to replace the filter head one just have to remove the housing or head, remove the water inline and outline and put it back.
I used Google to search "LG water filter housing" (I did not know yet it was...

Replaced defrost sensor in freezer compartment, if you are handy this is a do it yourself job. The cover in the freezer section just pops out not tools needed. You will need a few small zip ties and some cutters to remove the old zip ties. Take a picture were the old sensor was before removing and reinstall in the same place. I used a meter to check continuity of the defrost element and found the element to be ok. I was quoted $85 to have someone come to the house just to check the unit and...

This is a rubber or elastomer damper that supports and isolates the evaporator fan motor inside the refrigerator. It absorbs vibration from the motor to reduce noise during normal operation. Replace this part if you hear excessive buzzing, rattling, or vibration coming from the freezer section, which often indicates the damper has hardened or deteriorated.

Our water dispenser stopped working and the ice maker stopped working also Neil R. • Saint Louis , MO • March 11, 2016
Once I was convinced that the water supply and filter wasn't the problem, I took the back protective panel and looked at the valve assembly. It looked corroded, especially on top where the ?pistons for the solenoids?would project into. I ordered the part and it was on my doorstep in TWO days...really fast. The part was slightly different from the one that I was replacing in that the part was "angled out." This was not a problem. All that did was tilt the fitting for the copper water line...

Fridge would not defrost no error codes Nathaniel C. • Marietta , GA • April 04, 2015
I have had the unfortunate problem of fixing this previously, so knew what to order. I ordered the defrost sensor and heater... and replaced both. Honestly, all I needed was the sensor I did and ohm test and got 0 on it... meaning it was bad, but just in case I replaced the heater.
The fridge works great now, but I would suggest if this is your first time with this issue, remove the panel, unplug both sensors from the fridge, and do and ohm test while they are still in the fridge... and then...
