Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Refrigerator light was buring constantly generating excessive heat (2 60 watt bulbs) and melting plastic parts   Nancy V. • Newport Beach , CA • November 06, 2015

Was able to diagnose problem at AppliancePartsPros.com by entering the model #. This is apparently a common problem with this Refrigerator Replaced Light Socket Assembly, Lamp Reflector, Lamp Case and Lamp Cover. Also replaced the main circuit board (not sure if this was necessary). The wiring on the Light Socket Assembly was different than the original, so it was a bit confusing how to assemble it, and no screws were provided to attach it to the Lamp Reflector - figuring this out took most... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator lights on 24/7/365 situation   Adolfo B. • Weston , FL • December 31, 2016

...after our refrigerator stopped working one of these mornings, I googled the symptom and was steered to a page where I was able to determine the possible culprit. To verify it, I left my cel recording inside and saw that the light stayed on. I was then directed to ALLPARTSPRO.COM, and was able to chat with a Rep, and after a short explanation told me to replace just the "push switchs"; so ordered them, plus the "light lens" and "cover", which had all melted for continuous lighting spanning... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Replacement for LG ice maker 5989ja0002g   Allen H. • Bossier City , LA • July 28, 2023

I have an LG side by side refrigerator from 2004. It’s a great refrigerator, even after 19 years, with a giant ice storage bin that holds probably 15 pounds of ice. I found mixed information on what model number replaces the old one. The dimensions were my biggest concern because in the side by side the ice maker mounts on... Read more
