Dishwasher was making a strange noise while running Craig E. • Plymouth , MI • February 07, 2015
The pump impeller came apart so it was not pumping the water and making noise.
The dishwasher came apart easy but the gasket to the sump assembly stayed attached to the bottom of the tub and did not pull it off. I was running my thumb around the gasket to see if it was in good shape or if I needed to replace it and sliced my thumb open on the sharp edge of the tub opining. So a $150 later for Emergency Room visit and a sore thumb I re assembled the dishwasher. Be careful of sharp edges in this...

The Lower Dishrack Assembly is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This assembly holds the dishes, utensils, and other items to be cleaned on the lower level of the dishwasher. It is designed to slide in and out smoothly, providing easy access for loading and unloading.
Over time, the lower dishrack can become worn out or damaged due to frequent use, exposure to high temperatures, and the weight of the items placed on it. Causes of a bad lower dishrack include broken or missing wheels, rust, and damage to the rack's frame or coating.
Symptoms of a bad lower dishrack include:
- Difficulty sliding the rack in and out
- Rust or corrosion on the rack
- Broken or missing tines
- Items not staying in place during the wash cycle
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

The lower rack in our dishwasher failed the plastic got cut and the metal core rusted away Steve D. • Healdsburg , CA • August 03, 2014
Purchased a new rack and would have skipped reporting on it except that the new rack is superior to the old one. Easy to load, better silverware basket. It is so much better I bought a one for my mother (same dishwasher - lucky her!) before she even had a problem with the original.

What's included
- 1 actuator arm with spring
Install notes
- Disconnect power to the dishwasher before servicing
- Open the door and remove the inner door panel fasteners to access the dispenser linkage
- Note the spring orientation; move the spring to the new arm if needed and seat the arm in the correct pivot location
