The pump impeller came apart so it was not pumping the water and making noise.
The dishwasher came apart easy but the gasket to the sump assembly stayed attached to the bottom of the tub and did not pull it off. I was running my thumb around the gasket to see if it was in good shape or if I needed to replace it and sliced my thumb open on the sharp edge of the tub opining. Unplugged power cord 30 secs
Loosened metal bracket on top and bottom with screwdriver 5 min
Pushed dispenser in and removed from dishwasher 5 min
Positioned new unit in space and snapped into place 1 min
Plugged electrics back in 1 min
Screwed back on 3 min
Roughly 20 min. I am nontechnical and rarely do repairs.
