I replaced the controller, the thin seal @ the top and the cable in the door and has seemed to resolve the issue. I removed the three screws that were in the upper part of the door handle slot and took out the inner panel screws on the door. No need to take the screws for the hinges out. The door will spring shut once you take the inner panel off so be careful. You'll need a Torx screwdriver

I ordered a new front panel and handle for my dishwasher to coordinate with the new stove and refrigerator. I watched the online video and it looked simple. We received the panel in great shape. We installed it in about 15 minutes. The only problem was the screws for the new handle. We did not realize that the new handle was closer to the door than the old handle so the old screws were too long. My husband went to the hardware store and got shorter screws and it all went together smoothly.

Apparently, when I replaced the screws, I did so randomly, and some did not quite fit the holes, and fell out and were lost over time.
