The Gasket is an OEM replacement part specific to Whirlpool refrigerators. It is a flat sealing gasket located inside the refrigerator cabinet that forms a tight connection between the fill pipe inlet and the refrigerator unit. The gasket plays an important role in preventing water leaks from developing around the fill pipe connection point during regular operation.
Causes of a faulty gasket can include regular wear and tear over time breaking down its sealing ability, as well as mineral deposits accumulating on the gasket surface.
Symptoms of a leaking gasket include:
- Water puddling or flooding inside the refrigerator cabinet
- Visible water dripping or accumulating around the fill pipe inlet
- White mineral residue visible where the gasket makes contact
It is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore branded models.

The Door trim is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It provides an adjustable shelving solution mounted inside the refrigerator door, allowing for convenient storage of smaller items like condiments, eggs, or leftovers. The shelf bar relies on secure mounting brackets and durable plastic construction to securely hold varying amounts of weight.
Symptoms of a bad door shelf bar include:
- Sagging or inability to hold weight securely
- Cracks or breaks in the plastic material
- Coming loose from mounting points inside the door
- Items stored on the shelf readily fall off
Causes of a bad shelf bar can be stress cracks from overloading, damage to mounting brackets over time, or plastic deterioration from exposure to light or cleaning chemicals.
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

The defrost heater would not work John R. • Lumberton , MS • May 21, 2019
The refrigerator was given to me and hasn't defrosted since it was new. I found the defrost timer had a burnt spot on the circuit board. After installing a new timer, the refrigerator would trip the circuit breaker in my house when it entered defrost mode. I found that the pink wire running from the control board all the way to the thermostat was shorted somewhere between the two parts, inside the refrigerator. I ran a new "pink" wire and all is good.
