I used your online troubleshooting tips and watched the videos on your site. I determined my thermostat was defective, ordered the thermostat which arrived in two days and I replaced the thermostat and I now have a full bin of ice !!!

The plastic cam the bottom hinge had ground down over time and the door would have to be pushed shut. The cam was not automatically closing the door when the door was swung closed.
