This is a very easy fix. The only trick is that you must also remove the top and bottom trim parts above and below the handle (respectively) to be able to replace the handle, as those pieces cover the screws that attach the handle to the door panel. And really, removing those two pieces are the hardest part. The top trim piece slides up, whereas the bottom piece slides down. In my case, I had a little bit of trouble sliding the top piece up.
