Broken drive on door dispenser for ice maker Richard H. • Bartlett , TN • March 07, 2016
My LG electric dryer stopped drying the other day and I searched on line for suggestions on what may have caused it to stop working. I came across AppliancePartsPros.com and quickly found some of the most common issues with my LG dryer. The problems were listed in the order of most common occurrence, and had extremely helpful and detailed instructions on how to not only diagnose the problem, they also showed exactly how to access and repair the issue. Unfortunately, it was late on a Thursday...

Fridge making clicking sounds and not cooling? A faulty compressor start device causes repeated clicks and cooling failure. Simple DIY repair.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Fridge stopped cooling was making a clicking sound Heather G. • Childwold , NY • October 18, 2014
I did some research online to pinpoint what the clicking noise was - discovered it was the relay switch. Very simple repair - after I removed the back panel on fridge I located the relay mounted on side of the compressor. It came off easily. Ordered my part at 4pm and it was delivered to me by 11am the next day. Installed the new relay, plugged the fridge back in and BINGO - it worked :). Super simple to do - anyone could fix this issue on their fridge.

This ice deflector guides ice cubes from the icemaker into the ice bin to help keep ice delivery consistent and reduce cube jams or spills. It's a simple replacement that restores proper ice routing in compatible refrigerators. What it does:
- Directs ice cubes from the icemaker into the ice bin for orderly dispensing
- Helps prevent ice clumping and blockages that can stop ice flow
- Keeps ice moving away from the icemaker assembly and into the bin
- Restores proper alignment and function after a cracked or missing deflector
What's included: One ice deflector (1 count) Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing to avoid electrical or mechanical injury
- Remove the ice bin or access panel per your model's service instructions to reach the deflector
- Part typically snaps or slides into place; reuse existing fasteners unless new hardware is supplied
- After installation, reconnect power and run the icemaker through a cycle; discard any ice made during the repair if contamination is suspected

Refrigerator leaked under the left front grill. Charles K. • Windermere , FL • April 06, 2014
Every once in a while we'd get a small leak just under the left side (freezer door). I moved the fridge out and saw the water stain towards the front of the unit. Carefully removing the grate (see the video on how to do this so you don't snap the plastic brackets. They are part of the grate and there is one on the left and one on the right, centered from top to bottom.) Anyway the problem was visible. There is a water tube that runs into the door and presumedly up to the water dispenser. ...

Ice stripper removes ice cubes from the ice maker mold so the dispenser or storage bin fills properly. Replacing a worn or broken stripper helps the ice maker eject cubes cleanly and reduces ice jams or stuck cubes. What it does:
- Pushes or guides harvested cubes out of the ice mold into the bin during the ice maker's harvest cycle.
- Prevents cubes from sticking in the mold; a damaged stripper can cause incomplete ejection or leftover ice in the mold.
- Works with the ice maker's ejector mechanism to maintain consistent cube release and storage.
- A faulty or broken stripper may lead to noisy operation, partial fills, or visible ice build-up in the mold.
What's included: One ice stripper. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair to avoid electrical shock.
- Remove the ice maker or access panel per the manufacturer's instructions to reach the stripper; keep small parts and screws organized.
- Inspect the ice mold and surrounding components for damage or ice build-up; clear ice before installing the new stripper.
- After installation, restore power and run a test harvest cycle to ensure proper cube ejection.

This is the chute component that directs water from the fill tube into the ice maker mold inside the freezer compartment. It ensures water flows accurately into the ice tray without spilling into the surrounding freezer area. Replace this part if water is leaking around the ice maker, ice forms outside the mold, or the chute is cracked or blocked with ice buildup.
