The Icemaker is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This component is responsible for producing ice by automatically filling with water, freezing it, and then ejecting the ice cubes into the storage bin. Please note that for installation, you will need to reuse the original cover and bracket from your existing icemaker. Makes 5 cubes at a time.
Causes of a bad icemaker can include mechanical failures, clogged water lines, or electrical issues. Over time, wear and tear from constant use or exposure to hard water and impurities can also affect its performance.
Symptoms of a bad icemaker include:
- The icemaker not producing ice
- Ice cubes being smaller than usual or misshapen
- Leaking water inside the freezer
- Unusual noises during the ice-making process
- The ice bin not filling up
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Part Number: WPW10122550
This ice maker mold and heater assembly forms the cube cavities and briefly warms the mold during harvest so ice releases cleanly. Replace a corroded, leaking, or non-heating mold to restore reliable ice production and ejection. What it does:
- Contains and shapes water into ice cubes during the freeze cycle
- Integrated heater warms the mold during harvest so cubes release to the ejector
- Failure can cause cubes to stick in the mold, stalled harvests, or no ice production
- Pitting or corrosion of the mold can lead to leaks and poor cube release
What's included:
- One ice maker mold with attached heater assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; turn off the ice maker or water supply to prevent fill during service
- Remove the ice maker from the freezer to access the internal mold assembly; support wiring and harnesses
- Transfer any reusable components and fasteners from the original unit as directed by your service information
- After reassembly, restore power and allow a full cycle to verify proper fill, release, and ejection

Water all over freezer and poor ice quality and quantity. Patrick H. • Minot , ND • August 11, 2017
I ordered the valve inlet and Ice Mould from Appliance Pros and upon their arrival I watched the video on APP.com and installed the parts in about the time it took to view the video. Freezer is ice free and ice bin is full of perfect cubes.
I've ordered parts from Appliance parts pro for my Maytag Washer after a repair man said he couldn't fix it for less than $300. I got the latch control, watched the video and installed in 15 minutes and all for far less than $100. Love this company!
