Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The refrigerator would fail to restart after running normally for anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. I could manually restart it by turning the theostat off then back on or by pecking the thermostat knob lightly. I ordered a replacement thermostat on Monday morning and received the part the next day. After replacing the thermostat, the refrigerator has worked just fine. Read more
