Removed the back cover to access the fan area. Clean the area with brush and vac first. Unplugged the Refrigerator. Used a socket set with 1/4" socket. Had an extended and a standard socket. Removed the condensate plastic drain from the bottom of the refrigerator to have more access to the fan. Unplugged the fan motor. Removed the two screws holding the fan in place. Removed the fan unit from the condenser side of the bracket. Place new fan on the fan and installed exactly the way I removed the...

Replacer both gaskets but had to install some sealant to bottom of ff door at liner behind gasket lip.

I 1st checked for proper evap and condenser fan operation. That was ok. I then removed plastic in freezer section to check for frost or ice build up (looking for bad defrost heater or timer or defrost termination stat). All was ok. Next I removed the thermostat and checked it using an ice bath and ohm meter. Operation when closing had high resistance. Red flag! So to confirm my assumption of a bad temp control I bypassed the temperature control and watched the box temp. Box cooled as was...
